Hi! I'm Jamie 👋🏼
My name is Jamie Danielle Carpenter, and I am a wedding and lifestyle photographer servicing Scarborough, Durham Region, and anywhere else with open green space or countryside.
I began my photography journey in 2021. Though I’ve always loved taking photos, I hadn’t had the time to fully pursue it until COVID gave me the opportunity to dive in. I took online courses through George Brown College to learn the fundamentals of photography and Photoshop.
Over the years, I’ve fallen in love with photographing weddings. I’m a hopeless romantic at heart—even if I’m single as ever! 😂 A day full of love, happiness, and joy? Count me in.
I also love shooting lifestyle sessions, especially family sessions. Playing with the kiddos is always a blast, but my ultimate goal is to get dad laughing, smiling, and having fun. When I capture those genuine family moments, that’s mission accomplished.
A Bit About Me
For the last three years, I have been working
full-time as an Educational Assistant for the Durham Catholic District School Board. Prior to that, I spent eight years as an Applied Behaviour Analysis Technician working one on one with kids who have Autism Spectrum Disorder. I recently moved to Peterborough and now supply part-time for the PVNCCDSB.
I am an avid sports fan and player! I love to hit the links in the summertime, and glide my way around the rink in the winter. I am a fan of all Toronto sports teams, except the leafs (GO HABS GO!).
I am an adventurous world traveler who thrives off of exploring this world we live in. When I was 22, I worked for Carnival Cruise Ships travelling all around the Caribbean and Mexican Riviera. I’ve explored more than a dozen European countries, with my most recent trip being to Ireland with my family. My next adventure will be to visit Greece "OPA!"
I am a dog mom to Tucker, my ten-year-old Maltese. He is my bubba boo and just as much of a bougie diva as I am. Our favourite pastime is hanging out at the cottage in Muskoka drinking Bud Lights on the dock, going for kayak rides on the lake, and ending the day by the campfire listening to country music.
My goal for our photography session is simple: to have fun, laugh a lot, and make you feel completely comfortable. I’ll do whatever it takes to capture your best moments, leaving you with stunning photos to cherish for years to come.
